1. Overview
This policy explains what Hoku AI (Honolulu, HI) collects when you use CurbOffer, how we use it, and the choices you have. Short version: we collect what we need to run the product, we never store your card number, and we do not sell your personal information.
Privacy questions: hello@curboffer.com.
2. What we collect
- Account information — your email address and subscription plan.
- Addresses you analyze — the property addresses and answers you submit, and the resulting analyses, so you can save and revisit your deals.
- Usage events — pages viewed, features used, approximate device/browser information, used to improve the product and prevent abuse.
- Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We receive your subscription status and receipt data; we never store your card numbers.
3. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies: essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your session, and basic analytics to understand how the product is used. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser, but signed-in features may stop working.
4. Third parties we share data with
We share data only with service providers who help us run CurbOffer, under contracts that limit their use of it:
- RentCast — property records and comparable-sale data for the addresses you analyze.
- Anthropic — AI processing that powers analysis and coaching features.
- Stripe — payment processing and billing.
- Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure.
- Vercel — application hosting and basic analytics.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or Hoku AI.
5. Retention
We keep your account data and saved analyses while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal, billing, or security purposes (kept no longer than necessary). Usage logs are retained for up to 12 months.
6. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can email hello@curboffer.com to exercise these rights. We will verify your request and respond within the legally required window.
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate information.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your account and personal information.
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format.
California residents (CCPA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, so no opt-out is needed — but you may still email us a “do not sell” request and we will honor and record it.
EEA/UK residents (GDPR): we process your data on the legal bases of contract (providing the service), legitimate interest (security and product improvement), and consent where required. You additionally have the rights to object to or restrict processing and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
7. Security and children
We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. CurbOffer is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Changes to this policy
If we materially change this policy, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date, and notify you by email or in-app notice for significant changes.
